Canberra here we come….
Our End Child Poverty campaign is taking the voices of South Hedland young people and youth workers to Canberra so our politicians can hear first-hand their experiences of poverty.
The Pilbara region is one of Australia’s richest and available data hides intense child poverty in the area. So we asked the children themselves.
They shared their experiences with us of being hungry, homeless and turned away from school for issues that can be traced back to living in poverty.
We want those voices heard by our decision makers, so on September 14, 2026 will take them Parliament House so that politicians can listen to their powerful stories.
Help us end child poverty in Australia.
